The Manager of IT is responsible for all information technology activities including site-related networking, database, hardware and software support, remote monitoring and directing all software implementations. This responsibility includes ensuring the continuity of all business services (email, phone system, servers, VPN, ERP etc.) for the organization, as well as the interoperability of the company’s operating systems. Reporting to the CFO, the IT Manager directs IT systems in support of business operations to improve cost effectiveness, product quality, data collection, data analytics and business performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

☞ Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the computer system.
☞ Make recommendations for hardware and software acquisitions and is responsible for the ordering, inventorying and disposal these assets.
☞ Train users and help them find hardware and software solutions to problems.
☞ Provide technical support. Assists employees to diagnose and solve computer software and equipment problems.
☞ Manage voice communication needs.
☞ Write programs and create queries for ad-hoc reporting.
☞ Identify information technology project resource requirements.
☞ Implement security measures for data and information systems.
☞ Update, maintain, review and test system backup and recovery plan.
☞ Build PC’s and install computer hardware and software.
☞ Maintain computer networks, servers and user access.
☞ Analyze business requirements and recommend changes to improve computer or information systems.
☞ Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service.
☞ Monitor computer hardware and software performance and develop a plan for system capacity, maintenance and upgrades.
☞ Develop and manage the IT budget.
☞ Negotiate hardware and software maintenance agreements (contracts) with vendors.
☞ Troubleshoot issues with computer applications or systems and resolve all computer network and software problems.
☞ Develop and maintain partnership with our IT vendors for contracted services and to ensure smooth upgrades of hardware and software.

Technical Skills Required:
☞ Must be proficient working with all types of operating systems including Windows.
☞ Experience or familiarity with the AS/400 and related operating systems.
☞ Strong knowledge of server administration.
☞ Ability to program in RPG3.
☞ Proficient working with the office applications and communications systems.
☞ Expertise in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Infor ERPLX experience preferred.
☞ Experienced in managing information systems projects

Educational Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree on Information Technology Management or related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
